Below are the deadlines and descriptions for several internal funding opportunities this semester.

Shineman Endowed Fund @ SUNY Oswego
Deadlines: Letter of Intent due Sept. 15, 2023 / Full Applications due Oct. 15, 2023

Do you have an idea for a research project, speaker, panel, project, or activity that would be beneficial and impactful to the campus AND regional community? Apply for a grant from SUNY Oswego’s Shineman Endowed Fund to see your idea come to fruition.

The college’s Richard S. and Barbara P. Shineman Endowed Fund Stewardship Committee is now accepting proposals for grants to support educational, creative, research and cultural opportunities conceived by campus members that are collaborative and/or interdisciplinary. The amount of the awards will depend upon the scope of the project. Small Grants will be awarded for projects requesting $4,999 or less, and projects requesting $5,000 or more will be considered Large Grants.

Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant
Deadline: Monday, Oct. 23, 2023

The Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant is designed to provide support for faculty and staff in the development of their scholarly and creative activity (SCA) programs to be more competitive in their field (i.e., enhancing the possibility of procuring external grants/contracts). Projects that are expected to result in peer-reviewed output, significant public activities/presentations, and/or to have a significant impact on local/campus or national/international community will receive priority.

Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant
Deadline: Monday, Nov. 6, 2023

The Graduate and Undergraduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant (Student SCA) program is designed to support and foster graduate and undergraduate student research and original creative work conducted in collaboration with a SUNY Oswego faculty sponsor. Please note: any Student SCA proposal that meets the criteria for the Helen Bohmer Daly Memorial Research Grant will also be considered for more specialized grant offerings.
