Campus Technology Services will implement a new retention policy for cloud storage with the Panopto video service, which goes fully into effect next week. The new retention policy will be as follows:
- Archive all content not viewed within the last two years
- Removal of all content not viewed within the last three years
While archived content is still in Panopto, you must request that it be restored, which can take up to 48 hours.
These new retention guidelines will be implemented Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023. This will give everyone ample time to export content from Panopto if you so choose. You can save these videos to your local hard drive or upload to a shared SUNY Oswego YouTube instance.
