Campus Recreation is headed inside for the second round of sports and some fun events.

The deadline to sign up via this website for the next round of intramural sports is today, Tuesday, Oct. 17:

  • Badminton League
  • 5v5 Basketball League
  • 6v6 Broomball League(played on the ice)
  • 6v6 Dodgeball

What is broomball, you mightask? You can find out via this video.

If that interests you, Campus Rec encourages you to recruit some friends and go to IMLeagues.com/oswego to sign up.

Most sports have various league options: competitive, recreational, co-rec, men's and women's.

Campus Recreation also will host special events during Family and Friends Weekend, including:

A Splash-in Movie showing "Jaws" will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 in the Lee Hall Pool. Admission is free with free food.

The Family and Friends Fall Fest will run from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, in the Marano Campus Center food court. It will include the Great Pumpkin 5K Run/Walk that will begin at 1 p.m.; race participation fee is $5, with donations supporting Blessings in a Backpack. Advance race registration is available online, or with onsite registration/check in starting at noon on Saturday. The first 75 signups will receive a free t-shirt, and the top three men's and women's finishers will receive awards.

The festival provides a family-friendly afternoon with pumpkin painting, donuts, apple cider, fall photo booth, lawn games, kids' games and more. In addition, a kids' potato sack race will take place at 12:45 p.m. The festival is co-sponsored by Campus Recreation and New Student Orientation and Family Engagement.

Family and Friends Open Skate will run from 8 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, following the men's hockey game in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall. Admission is free, with skate rental available for $3.

To finish out the second half of the semester, Campus Rec offers these additional events:
  • Halloween Open Skate will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall. Admission and skate rental are free for students. The top three costume wearers will receive Dining Dollars. Other games and free food will also be available.
  • Late Night at Lee - Glow Night will take place from 9 to 11 p.m. in Lee Hall. Activities will include glow volleyball, glow pickleball, glow zumba, glow tattoos, face paintings and more!
