University Police will team up with the university's State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign for this year's No Shave November campaign to raise funds for Blessings in a Backpack.
This local charity supplies food to over 400 children in the Oswego School District for the entire school year. The donations the department collects will help boost their funding to supply more food to more children in the county.
Throughout the month of November, donations can be made via this link or cash donation. University Police will also host table hours throughout the month to take in donations where all who donate can be entered into a raffle to win gift cards to local restaurants and businesses.
On Nov. 18, UP will host a table at the men's hockey game selling chances on a jersey, with all donations going to Blessings in a Backpack. On top of all of this, UP will help Blessings in a Backpack every Monday in November with packing the food bags they hand out to the children, and all are welcome to join.
