Recent changes to Brightspace bring exciting new features that can enhance your teaching and student learning. Creator+ is a new tool with promising new features. The newest version of TurnItIn allows for inline grading and the creation of peer assignments.

Creator+

The campus recently acquired D2L tool Creator+. This tool extends the Brightspace Editor with additional features to assist you in creating more dynamic content in your course. Creator+ is designed for ease of use for non-technical users.

There are three main tools to enhance your course content:

  • Insert Elements enables users to create dynamic content following instructional design best practices, easily and seamlessly.
  • Practices to deepen comprehension and reinforce concepts using formative practice questions in Content HTML topics.
  • Layouts to create panels that add structure and help organize your course content. Layouts can be used with any element.

The campus Digital Learning Environment (DLE) administrators are offering two Creator+ workshops during Spring Breakout:

  • “D2L Creator+: What is it?” on Thursday, May 30, 11 to 11:20 a.m.
  • “D2L Creator+: Getting started” on Friday, May 31, from 9 to 10:20 a.m.
