Over the next several weeks, the food and activity court (lower level) in the Marano Campus Center will undergo renovations as the university transforms the space to better meet the needs of SUNY Oswego and its students. The space will remain open during this time.

These updates, requested by student leaders in 2022, are expected to be partially completed after the fall break, with some ongoing work continuing over the next several months. These upgrades will provide a relaxing and comfortable setting for all members of the university to gather whether dining, socializing, studying or hosting events.

Amenities include a variety of seating options, built-in charging stations and improved sound quality with the addition of a carpet area and acoustic panels. During the renovations, food operations will remain open unless otherwise noted. Once renovations are complete, requests to utilize the space can be made through the EMS Reservation Portal

The Division of Student Affairs, and partners who assisted with this project, are excited to unveil these improvements to campus community members. Once completed, the division will once again turn to students to help rename the area to better reflect its new look. Stay tuned for announcements about the naming contest later this academic year.

If you have any questions regarding the renovations or event requests, please contact Melissa Paestella, interim director of campus events and conference services, at melissa.paestella@oswego.edu.
