The campus community is invited to join the Dean of Students Office, Student Engagement and Leadership, Campus Recreation and Auxiliary Services for Hazing Prevention Week which runs from Oct. 14 to 18.
Organizers encourage you to stop by their table on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday to take the pledge against hazing and leave your handprint on our banner. Those who drop by Monday will also receive a free donut.
On Wednesday, organizers will host "Wear Purple Day," encouraging the campus community to wear purple and assemble at the Marano Campus Center bus loop for a photo at 12:30 pm.
At 5 pm on Wednesday, in 101 Lanigan Hall, Lianne Kowiak will share her story as a mother who lost her son to hazing. This event is open to the entire campus community and organizers highly encourage student leaders to attend.
