The Latino Student Union invites the campus community to their 47th annual dinner on Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 7 p.m.

This year's dinner showcases Latino culture and contributions in New York City, with a theme of “Welcome To Spanish Harlem.”

Keynote speaker will be Ricardo Nazario y Colón, senior vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion and the chief diversity officer for SUNY, as well as a renowned poet. He will share his words of wisdom as well as advice to students pursuing higher education, sharing advice he wishes he knew while attending school.

Afterwards, participants will indulge in some cultural dishes from the Latino community and watch dance teams perform, give out appreciation awards, capture beautiful memories and enjoy one another's presence, organizers said. Tickets are available online and via campus box offices, costing $12 for students, $15 for faculty/staff alumni.
