On April 11 in New York City, SUNY Oswego will sponsor “Innovations in Healthcare Delivery,” featuring experts and innovators including keynote speaker and 1992 SUNY Oswego alumnus Christopher Roker, CEO of New York Health + Hospitals/Queens.
The event, which is free but with tickets required, will feature top healthcare leaders and key industry innovators sharing the latest developments in how the “triple helix” of government industry and education is accelerating innovation in healthcare delivery. It will run from 2 to 6 p.m. at the SUNY Global Center, 116 E. 55th Street in New York City, with a reception following.
Hosted by SUNY Oswego’s School of Business and MBA program, the event is funded in part by a SUNY Conversations in the Disciplines Grant.
In addition to Roker additional panelists will represent such entities as Apple Inc., the New York State Department of Health, Centivo, NYU Langone and SUNY Downstate. Symposium hosts will be Sarah Bonzo, who coordinates the college’s MBA in health services administration, and Irene Scruton, assistant dean of the School of Business and director of MBA programs.
Oswego’s MBA health services administration program, which is offered 100 percent online, blends its nationally ranked MBA program with specialized health services administration coursework in health law, financial management of health organizations, nursing home administration, and other fundamental health care topics.
