The Friday-afternoon Write Ways Series of Writing Center workshops returns for the spring semester from 3 to 4 p.m. on specified dates. Free and open to the campus community, all sessions will meet in Classroom 215 of Penfield Library.
Presentations will include:
- Feb. 7: "Navigating the Blackboard Jungle," with Christine Hirsch and Katharine Dutton
- Feb. 14: "How to Hack a Research Project: Have Fun and Learn Doing It," with Jim Nichols
- Feb. 21: "Writing Scholarship Essays," with Lyn Blanchfield
- Feb. 28: "Writing for the Biological Sciences," with Lisa Brancato, Susan Hammerly and Kate Jones
- March 6: "Technical Writing: What Are the Different Types?," with Juan Denzer
- March 27: "Expanding Your Resume and Experience by Publishing in the Field," with Nichols
- April 3: "Best Practices for Writing Fellowship Applications: A Workshop for Students," with Blanchfield
- April 17: "Writing in MLA Style," with Stephanie Pritchard
- April 24: "Back to Basics: Successful College Writing," with Amanda Trainham
- May 1: "Critical Inquiry: A Reading and Writing Strategy," with Steven Smith
