The Oz Peer Health Educator team invites students to join their team, with applications due by 4:30 p.m. on May 8.

Oz Peer Eds are a group of student leaders committed to the health and well-being of their peers at SUNY Oswego.

There is an online application and interview process. Those wishing to apply don’t need prior training or experience in health promotion or education, but are required to have a GPA of 2.5. This is an academic class (GST 350) that requires participation of about eight to nine hours per week of class related activities. The program asks students to make a two-semester commitment when possible.

By becoming an Oz Peer Ed, students develop connections, gain leadership and communication skills, learn how to plan programs, earn class credit and more. Email applications to Shelly Sloan (shelly.sloan@oswego.edu) by 4:30 p.m. May 8 for consideration.
