Rice Creek's ‘Celebrate Snow’ winter festival to feature new, returning attractions

SUNY Oswego's Rice Creek Field Station invites the public to the fifth annual Celebrate Snow winter festival on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with a severe weather date of Feb. 18).

SUNY Oswego recently earned the Community Partnerships, Community Service Award from the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA).

ASAP series to discuss financial aid, paying for school on Feb. 3

January 27, 2025

The Adult Student Assistance Program (ASAP), designed to help adult learners connect with SUNY Oswego and other students, will virtually present "Financial Aid and Student Accounts" at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3.

Those with questions about financial aid, paying for school or student accounts will have an opportunity to virtually meet with representatives from those offices.

Rice Creek Small Grants Program hosts call for proposals

January 24, 2025

Rice Creek Associates is calling for submissions to their small grants program, with a Feb. 14 deadline.

Most awards will range between $500 and $3,000. Proposals oriented towards natural sciences and social sciences, arts, communication, education and/or service, among others, will be considered. 

Recipients will be announced on or around Friday, March 14.

SHOP receives CNY Food Bank grant to support services

SUNY Oswego's SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) pantry happily announced receiving a $1,600 grant from the Food Bank of Central New York College Hunger Grant Funds.

SHOP opened its pantry in October 2016 as the first student-run food and clothing pantry within the SUNY system. It provides students, faculty and staff with free non-perishable food, toiletries, sexual and reproductive health products, and professional and winter apparel.
