SUNY Oswego applauds Gov. Hochul for critical support for student success in 2025 State of the State Agenda

SUNY Oswego President Peter O. Nwosu applauded Gov. Kathy Hochul for pledging in her 2025 State of the State agenda to deliver ongoing state funding to sustain and expand the proven Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) and Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) programs, transformative models that have been widely demonstrated to increase student completion rates and narrow opportunity gaps, including at SUNY Oswego.

RSVP of Oswego County receives grant from NY's Office for the Aging

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Oswego County is pleased to announce a $7,465 grant from the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) in support of RSVP’s ongoing work of engaging seniors aged 55 and up in volunteer service that meets essential needs throughout Oswego County.

The grant will assist with volunteer recognition and essential program costs allowing RSVP to continue to benefit residents of Oswego County in 2025.

Opportunities available to inspire, create, earn money through Sheldon Institute

Members of the campus community ready to share their unique talents and ignite a passion for learning are invited to become part of this summer's Sheldon Institute youth enrichment program as an instructor or student assistant.

This year's Sheldon Institute runs in two one-week sessions: July 21 to 25 and July 28 to Aug. 1 on the SUNY Oswego campus.

SUNY Oswego to host Financial Aid Days on main and Syracuse campuses

SUNY Oswego will host two Financial Aid Days workshops – from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, in 206 Marano Campus Center on its lakeside campus, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Suite 115 of the Atrium on its downtown Syracuse campus on Clinton Square.

SUNY Oswego’s Rebecca Mushtare will play a key role in a new SUNY-wide effort supporting digital accessibility, State University of New York Chancellor John B. King Jr. announced on Jan. 8 with the launch of the inaugural fellows for the SUNY Accessibility Advocates and Allies Faculty Fellowship Program.
