UP's Coffee with a Cop happening this morning

October 1, 2024

The national Coffee with a Cop day is Wednesday, Oct. 2, and SUNY Oswego's University Police will participate with a table in Marano Campus Center from 10 a.m. to noon.

Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together, over coffee, to discuss issues and learn more about each other. University Police will provide free coffee and donuts and plenty of opportunities to ask questions to members of the police department.

Ke-nekt' series to host emerging producer/songwriter/composer Suzi Analogue

Emerging producer, songwriter and composer Suzi Analogue will bring electronic music and more in the next installment of SUNY Oswego’s Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom.

Programs scheduled for mandatory student organization Title IX training

All student organizations must send four people per year to Title IX training, and two more events are scheduled for this semester: at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Both events will take place in the Marano Campus Center auditorium, room 132.

CSTEP staff member joins leadership program to better advocate for student success

Stephanie Wallace, the assistant director of SUNY Oswego’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), is taking furthering her professional development and ability to serve students through a fellowship in the New York Education Policy Leadership Program (NY EPLP).

Penfield Library to host Research Party Oct. 2

Penfield Library invites the campus to a Research Party on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Penfield Library Classroom 215.

Librarians will be on hand to assist students with citations, scholarly sources, conducting research and more.

Free pizza and snacks will be served. Attendees are invited to bring their own beverages.
