SUNY Oswego alumnus Dr. Joe Coughlin '82, director of MIT's AgeLab, will lead a free webinar, "How Technology Became the New Toilet Paper & Other Socio-Technical Impacts of the Pandemic," at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16.
COVID-19 has transformed nearly every aspect of life -- from how humans live at home, care for loved ones, work, learn and play. Many now ask, "When will we get back to normal?"
Instead of thinking about going "back," Coughlin envisions how the pandemic has served as a propellant — accelerating technologies, behaviors and lifestyles that were once only enjoyed by a select few, but are now becoming mainstream — crossing generations and regions.
This engaging and entertaining webinar will discuss how the stress of the pandemic has changed humanity, and what might be the implications for what comes next.
Online advance registration is required to receive login information.
