Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Parking on the SUNY Oswego campus requires a permit; drivers without a current campus parking sticker can visit oswego.edu/administration/parking for information on obtaining a day-use permit.

In a nearly concurrent exhibition in Penfield Library’s lobby, curator Devon Nitz, a senior graphic design major, and library staff member Tina Chan will mount a free display of student art on the theme of sustainability. The exhibition will run March 6 to 29, with a free public opening reception from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 6.

“This exhibition includes 13 SUNY Oswego students who decided to show the rest of the world what they saw, when they saw our planet in need,” said Nitz, president of the college’s Student Art Exhibition Committee. “They express the kindness and cruelty, the suffering, healing and ongoing relationship we have with our mother earth. Through photography, illustration, typography and three-dimensional artworks, these artists show us, through their eyes, the true need and impact of sustainability.”

Exhibitors include Katelyn Cardone, Sam Castaldo, Taylor Clock, Kendi Kajogo, Nick Montesano, Brigid Munafo, Nitz, David Owens, Thomas Pickett, Allison Rhode, Morgann Smith, Mary Taylor and Bentley Wong.

Sustainability in art—This piece by SUNY Oswego senior graphic design major Brigid Munafo will join the work of 12 of her fellow student artists in an exhibition exploring sustainability themes from March 6 to 29 in the Penfield Library lobby. Devon Nitz, a senior graphic design major and president of the college’s Student Art Exhibition Committee, is curating the display.
