In another example of campus-community partnership, the Student Association at SUNY Oswego is sharing one of its ambulances from its Student Association Volunteer Ambulance Corps (SAVAC) fleet with the Oswego City Fire Department for use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The city’s fire department will equip the SAVAC ambulance with Advanced Life Support equipment so it can serve as an available resource if a surge in call volume occurs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This partnership further demonstrates the commitment these students share for the Oswego community,” the Oswego Fire Department said in announcing the partnership.
The #TogetherOz campaign weaves in the voices and stories of the Oswego family, to keep us all connected as we learn, educate and work remotely. We will get through this together because we are #TogetherOz.
