CTE for Practicing Teachers Crt

This CTE certificate program is appropriate for teachers who are currently teaching in a school district or BOCES that has a partnership with SUNY Oswego.

Overview

This clinically rich CTE certificate program includes six required courses to offer key knowledge, skills and dispositions for teaching technical skills. Working with a school-based mentor teacher while undertaking program coursework, CTE candidates will learn about planning, teaching and assessment strategies; adolescent development and learning processes; the nature of students with disabilities and/or special health care needs; pedagogical uses of technology; literacy development; and the relationship between schools and their communities.

In addition, this program positions candidates to apply for Professional CTE Certification.
