Centro bus fire this morning

At 10:55 a.m. today, Oswego Town and City Fire Departments and University Police responded quickly to a Centro bus fire on Iroquois Trail, in the vicinity of Lot #11 and Onondaga Hall. The Centro bus fire suppression system activated, alerting the driver who stopped the bus immediately and ensured that all passengers, including the driver, exited the bus safely.
Initial reports indicate that the fire started in the rear end, engine compartment of the bus. The fire has been extinguished but please use caution in and around this area of campus throughout the morning and early afternoon.
