To all residential students,

As part of the campus’ commitment to your safety during the pandemic, Auxiliary Services staff are tested for COVID-19 every three weeks as part of the overall Oswego Forward plan. In the most recent testing period (beginning Nov. 7), four employees have tested positive, all of whom work in Cooper Dining Center.

In coordination with the President’s Office, the Division of Student Affairs, and in consultation with the Oswego County Health Department, we will be closing Cooper Dining Center at the end of brunch today, Nov. 15, out of an abundance of caution. All students who have been assigned to Cooper will now be assigned to Lakeside Dining for their grab-and-go dining.

We do not believe there has been any risk to our students as all four employees who tested positive have limited direct contact with students. All staff who work in or have had significant contact with those working in Cooper Dining Center are being tested today. We expect that Cooper will be closed for the next few days while we make sure all necessary health and safety protocols are followed.

Sincerely,

Steve McAfee
Auxiliary Services
