Daily Health Screening Requirement Lifted Campus Wide
Dear Students, Faculty, Staff and Administration,
Pursuant to the SUNY Chancellor’s office, campus employees and visitors are no longer required to submit daily health screening. This mandate was previously lifted for students last week. SUNY Oswego continues to encourage all individuals to refrain from coming to campus if they exhibit COVID-related symptoms.
SUNY has also indicated that COVID mandates concerning cleaning and disinfecting have also been lifted; however, our campus will continue to stress the importance of maintaining hand washing protocols and promote good hygiene via relevant signage and the utilization of hand-sanitizing stations.
Air handling and filtration protocols have also been lifted, but given that not all students and employees have been vaccinated, our campus will continue to maintain adherence to COVID air handling and filtration guidelines.
Reminder -- SUNY Oswego continues to require all students and employees to wear face masks -- both inside and outside while on campus -- as we await further guidance from SUNY. Weekly surveillance testing is also still required for any person who has not been fully vaccinated, or who has not shown proof of vaccination.
We will continue to provide updated guidance on vaccine mandates, mask wearing and social distancing for the summer and in anticipation of the fall semester as soon as it becomes available.
Regards,
Deborah F. Stanley
