Program suspension of study abroad programs in CDC Level 2 and 3 countries
Earlier today, March 4, 2020, Governor Cuomo announced that study abroad programs in CDC Level 2 and Level 3 countries including Japan and South Korea are suspended, effectively immediately. It was also announced that SUNY will arrange immediate return travel for individuals returning from Japan and South Korea. Per SUNY instructions, students are being directed to return home. New York and SUNY leaders are urging students to return now to avoid later complications, should circumstances change.
We will continue to inform you as details emerge. You should expect direct communication from SUNY and/or New York State about your plans.
The SUNY Oswego Office of International Education and Programs is here to help you with any questions you may have. We are here to help you through this process. Please know that SUNY and Oswego are commited to fulfilling your course requirements for the semester without financial or academic obstacles.
Sincerely yours,
