Dear Students,
I hope you are enjoying summer. We are excited to welcome you to campus for the fall 2022 semester! As much as we wish COVID-19 was in the rearview mirror, we know the variants are still innovating. Thus, to ensure that our campus community continues to prioritize the health and safety of our campus community, we have posted detailed Fall 2022 Guidance on our Oswego Forward website.
The Fall 2022 guidance is based on our discussions with SUNY system and our partners at the Oswego County Health Department, and are subject to change as conditions change.
The following are some key elements of the Fall 2022 Guidance in preparation for your arrival on campus and the start of the 2022-'23 academic year:
- The SUNY Student COVID-19 Vaccine Policy remains in effect. All students who have any physical presence on campus (both main campus and the Syracuse campus) are required to complete a full vaccine series.
- Booster shots are highly recommended for all students. SUNY reserves the authority to impose a requirement for any booster at any time as a result of changes in local conditions or as a result of requirements imposed by Federal, State or local authorities.
- New! SUNY Oswego will not be conducting “Return to Campus testing” this fall.
- New! Students with an approved exemption or in the process of completing their vaccine series will be required to test once per month. Visit Get Tested for more information on surveillance testing for the fall 2022 semester.
- SUNY Oswego’s Masking on Campus guidance remains in effect. We are currently mask optional due to low transmission rate in Oswego County.
- SUNY Oswego will follow CDC guidance for quarantine and isolation protocols. Visit our Quarantine & Isolation page for additional details.
