Dear Members of the SUNY Oswego Campus Community,
Thank you to our students, faculty and staff for your efforts this semester to stay safe and strong as we work together to protect our campus and Oswego communities from COVID-19. Your efforts to follow guidelines, get vaccinated and boosted, test when required and be considerate and respectful of others contributed to SUNY Oswego being able to relax the mask mandate last month.
Recently, the CDC raised Oswego County’s COVID-19 community to ‘high’ resulting in the CDC, New York State Department of Health and the Oswego County Health Department recommending that people wear a mask indoors in public spaces and keep their COVID-19 vaccines up to date.
As we near the end of the semester, it is increasingly important that we utilize all the tools and resources available to protect ourselves and keep the greater community safe. At this time, SUNY Oswego is strongly encouraging all members of the campus community to wear masks indoors in all public settings. For more information, visit the Masking on Campus web page.
Thank you for your continued vigilance regarding COVID-19 safety on our campus and in the community as we continue to move #OswegoForward.
Thank you,
Mary C. Toale, Ed.D.
Officer in Charge
