Dear Students, Faculty, Staff and Administration,
With spring in full swing and much attention focused on finishing the semester strong and providing a celebratory in-person Commencement for our class of 2021 graduates, I want to let you know some of the plans we have for the upcoming fall semester at SUNY Oswego. With great optimism for the future, we intend to welcome our students back this fall to live and study on campus, and fully enjoy the collegiate, residential environment that is part of the hallmark SUNY Oswego experience.
We are in the midst of accepting a full class for the coming year and our returning students are completing the registration process for fall 2021 classes. It would be an understatement to say that we are excited about our plan for the fall semester and academic year – an immersive experience that affords all of our students with a robust slate of in-person classes, internship experiences, and a vast array of hand-on, applied learning opportunities. We are also planning for an abundance of campus life activities and the return of clubs and organizations, which will enable our students many opportunities to emerge as leaders on our campus. SUNY Oswego students can feel confident and look forward to an upcoming semester where they will be able to live, study and connect with others on their lakeside campus.
In their great tradition, Oswego faculty, staff and administrators are dedicated to our students’ success and we are looking forward to joining and supporting students throughout their college journeys. Our faculty, many of whom are recognized leaders in their fields, are excited about teaching and engaging with our students in the classroom and serving as face-to-face mentors in a variety of capacities. And our dedicated staff are busy again preparing to serve and guide our students as they progress on their educational, social and career paths forward.
Please stay tuned for more information about the Fall 2021 Oswego Forward Plan as it becomes available. Until then, we know that the spring 2021 semester will continue on its positive, productive path. Let’s be smart, stay safe, get vaccinated, and look forward to an upcoming fall semester that holds great promise for a return to an active and thriving on-campus environment.
