Dear Parents, Guardians, family members and loved ones of our SUNY Oswego students,
I know you are deeply concerned for your student at SUNY Oswego. We prepared this communication to help keep you well informed about what is happening at SUNY Oswego as we grapple with how to best deal with COVID-19.
Here are some key points we want to share with you:
- SUNY Oswego is open and as a residential campus will remain open for the entire spring semester.
- All courses and classes for the rest of this spring 2020 semester will be taught online or through other distance learning modes until at least April 13.
- Residence halls will remain open to students over spring break and beyond. Students should see Residence Life and Housing staff in 303 Culkin Hall before 3 pm on Friday, March 13 if they want to remain in their room over spring break or contact them via email at reslife@oswego.edu if they want to return to their room after that date.
- Students who are employed on or off campus should talk with their supervisor regarding their work plans as soon as possible.
- We are prepared to support all of our SUNY Oswego students so that they successfully complete their semester.
- Please visit our SUNY Oswego COVID-19 website for the most current information and for all communication shared with students, faculty, and staff to date – including a new list of facts just posted this evening.
We hope this brings you up to date and answers the questions you have at this time. We will stay in touch with you through future communications like this and through updates to our COVID-19 website. Please contact me at 315.312.2211 or deborah.stanley@oswego.edu if you need additional information or help.
With warm regards,
Deborah F. Stanley
