Tape on campus doors is a safety measure
March 22, 2020 - 9:15pm
Essential employees reporting to work today may notice strips of tape across door knobs and locks. These pieces of tape will help our custodial staff know what rooms need to be cleaned.
As more employees work remotely, the number of rooms not in use increases. This is a simple measure, but an important one. A door knob with tape on it opens into a clean room. A doorknob without tape opens into a room that needs to be cleaned.
You can help. If you need to enter a room that has a strip of tape on it, discard the tape on the door knob or lock. This will signify that the room has been in use and therefore needs to be cleaned. Thank you for your cooperation.
