SUNY Oswego’s Littlepage Dining Hall will officially open at noon tomorrow, February 2, serving lunch (Mon. – Fri.) from noon to 3 p.m.; dinner (daily) from 5 to 8 p.m.; and brunch (Sat. – Sun.) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
By reopening Littlepage, we are responding to you, our students’ urgent notifications regarding health and safety concerns related to long wait lines causing an inability to remain physically distant as well as your inability to eat meals when you needed and wanted to do so. You made us aware of the unanticipated and serious consequences tied to our original plan to reduce the number of open dining facilities, and we have worked to restore all options as quickly as possible.
I want to thank each of you who communicated about the situation, and I especially want you to know that you were represented extremely well earlier today by Student Association President Lizeth Ortega-Ramirez and Vice President Asheem Calixte during a Zoom meeting on this topic. Interim General Manager for Auxiliary Services Steve McAfee and Vice President Jerri Howland acted quickly to assure this outcome and also deserve note. We are now able to expand food service and, with your safety compliance, help keep everyone safe.
In addition to the reopening of Littlepage, I want to remind you of other available resources. You can order ahead using the GET Food app. If you need the app you can download it for free from your app store. You can also order on the web from here. And remember, the OzSpots created on campus last semester are available for students to use to study, eat and engage with friends. To sign up for a space, go to the Oz-Spot Sign up link, or head to one of the OzSpot locations on campus and scan the QR code posted at the entry to the space.
Stay safe and warm,
Deborah F. Stanley
President
