Staff profile

My name is Ahkalia Williams and I am the Vice President of the CSTEP Advisory Board here at SUNY Oswego. I have been a part of the program since my sophomore year and have enjoyed every moment. One of the greatest gifts CSTEP has given me is the opportunity to lead and represent my peers. As Vice President, I assist our most able President Chelsea with planning and executing programs in the interest of the CSTEP members. We like to provide students with breaks from the academic workload and organize fun bonding experiences that will bring us together as peers and friends. 

I am originally from St Ann, Jamaica and moved to New York at the age of 17. I am currently a Physics major and Health Science minor and hope to one day become a medical physicist or oncologist. I am the Vice President of the Health Education Honors Society, Public Relations Chair for the Pre-Health Care Club, Treasurer of the Golden Z Club, and the Career Peer Assistant for STEM/Healthcare for Career Services. I have a love for medicine and an equal love for helping people reach their academic, professional, and health goals. I love this program, and can't wait to see how successful our students will become while here and abroad.
