Licensed Software Downloads

Campus Technology Services (CTS) has purchased the following list of software products for the campus community. They are available for installation on faculty, staff, and/or student machines based on licensing. Please read the descriptions of each piece of software for availability and installation.

Note: Almost all of the following applications (and more) are available for use through our SUNY Oswego Apps virtual service using your with your Laker NetID. For more information about this service, review the related knowledge base articles for the Citrix Web Receiver or Citrix Applications.

Currently licensed software includes:

Adobe Creative Cloud

A set of applications and services from Adobe Systems that gives subscribers access to a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, along with a set of mobile applications and also some optional cloud services.

ArcGIS

Geographic Information System software for building geographic information systems. For more information about this product, please visit the ArcGIS web site.

ChemDraw

ChemDraw is the industry leader of chemical drawing programs. ChemDraw includes stereochemistry recognition and display, multi-page documents, ChemNMR with spectral display, and Name=Struct for instant structure generation.

  • Available to: Faculty, Staff and Students through our SUNY Oswego Apps virtual service (no installation required)
  • Installation On: SUNY Oswego computer or personal computer.
  • Installation or Upgrade Process: 
  1. navigate to ChemDraw Download
  2. Search for the State University of New York Oswego
  3. Click "register" under "Register to download the latest version of ChemDraw"
  4. Sign up as a new user for a download unless you already have an account with Revvity
  5. You will get an activation code
  6. You will then receive an email from Revvity, Chemdraw's new owner, to continue activating your account as well as download software.

Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client

Used to connect to the campus network.

Draft Builder

For ANY faculty, staff, registered students taking or teaching classes or providing/ using student services in these buildings: Campus Center, Penfield, Mahar, Shineman. It assists writers plan what they are going to write about.  It breaks the writing process into three manageable steps: 1) brainstorming, 2) note-taking and 3) writing the first draft.

Maple

Used to assist with mathematical problem solving including analyzers, calculators, plots and animators, and statistical analysis. For more information about this product, please visit the Maple website.

Mathematica

Mathematica is renowned as the world's ultimate application for computations. But it's much more-it's the only development platform fully integrating computation into complete workflows, moving you seamlessly from initial ideas all the way to deployed individual or enterprise solutions.

  • Faculty and staff personally owned machines: Fill out this form to request a home-use license from Wolfram
  • Student personally owned machines: Follow the directions below to download from the Wolfram User Portal
    • Create an account(New users only)
    • Go to user.wolfram.com and click "Create Account"
    • Fill out form using a @oswego.edu email address, and click "Create Wolfram ID"
    • Check your email and click the link to validate your Wolfram ID
    • Request the download and key:
    • Fill out this form to request an Activation Key
    • Click the "Product Summary page" link to access your license
    • Click "Get Downloads" and select "Download" next to your platform
    • Run the installer on your machine, and enter Activation Key at prompt

Microsoft Office 365

Business and productivity software used for documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more. More information is available in this CTS MS Office 365 knowledgebase article.

Minitab 

Software used for mathematical statistics. For more information about this product, please visit the Minitab web site.

SAS

Business Intelligence software used for business analytics. For more information about this product, please visit the SAS web site.

SOLO

is for Curriculum and Instruction (MAIN campus C&I faculty, staff and registered students, (any current or prior semester, Spring 11- present).  It  is a literacy suite of the most popular assistive technology accommodations, including a text reader, graphic organizer, talking word processor, and word prediction.
