Downtime Required for Blackboard Upgrade

On Thursday, August 20 from 12:01am through 7am, SUNY Oswego’s Blackboard learning management system will be unavailable while it is upgraded to a new version.  Also included will be a new method of authentication requiring your full email address.

Blackboard Upgrade Features

Some of the new features in this version of Blackboard include:

• The ability to delete multiple grade center columns from the column organization view

• A new layout for the SafeAssign originality report used for plagiarism detection

• The ability to add content from external sources using the Content Market feature

• The ability to import questions and tests from external sources using the Question and Test Interoperability (QTI) standard
