Additional Voluntary Employee COVID-19 Testing
Dear Faculty and Staff,
I am pleased to announce that SUNY Oswego will be offering two additional COVID-19 (saliva) voluntary testing opportunities on campus for employees next week. Testing will be held in Lee Hall on:
- Tuesday, September 22 from 8:00 - 10:00 am
- Thursday, September 24 from 8:00 – 10:00 am
Appointments are required. Any member of our faculty and staff who wishes to be tested on campus may sign up for an appointment by visiting tickets.oswego.edu and using our box office reservation system. Please note that students will not be tested during employee testing.
In advance of your testing appointment, you should: 1) Create a COVID-19 Surveillance Account at http://register.suny-covid.com/ and “register” before your testing appointment (when you are asked for Student ID, please list your employee ID number found on your SUNY Oswego ID card; you will also need to enter your health insurance information); and 2) review this instructional video: Swabbing Technique.
All employees should make sure to pre-register using the link above, bring your health insurance card, and SUNY Oswego ID card to the testing center. Release time without charge to accruals is granted for time spent participating in pool testing on campus.
Prior to the test: You must not eat or drink anything, or smoke or use smokeless tobacco products within 30 minutes of taking the test, nor brush your teeth or use mouthwash within three (3) hours of taking the test.
Test Results: Individual results are typically available in 24-36 hours. You will be contacted by the County Health Department where you reside if you test positive.
As soon as we have a regular schedule of testing, we will make another announcement. Thank you for your cooperation and participation. We are all committed to staying safe and healthy and, by taking the test, you are doing your part! Should you have any questions about COVID-19 employee testing, please contact Human Resources via email at hr@oswego.edu, by phone at 315-312-2230 or visit our Helpful Information Regarding COVID-19 web page.
Sincerely,
Amy Plotner
