WNYO student broadcasters and faculty member Michael Riecke honored by NYSBA in September 2022

For SUNY Oswego student Naw Ka Paw Paw, earning a position in SUNY’s 2022 Premedical Opportunity Program will continue building toward a dream that could lead to establishing clinics in her homeland of Myanmar.

Outstanding service and research on the international level while stimulating expertise in SUNY Oswego’s School of Business have earned Ashraf Attia, professor and chair of marketing and management, a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarly and Creative Activities.

December 2021 SUNY Oswego graduate Sofia Luz Pérez won one of only three Best of SUNY awards at the 2021-2022 Best of SUNY Student Art exhibition for her painting, “Know Thyself, Heal Thyself.”

Chemistry faculty member Shokouh Haddadi recently earned the campus Provost’s Award for Mentoring in Scholarly and Creative Activity for leading students to academic, research and career success.

Indu Rasika Churchill of the mathematics faculty recently earned the Provost’s Award for for Scholarly and Creative Activity, which recognizes a junior faculty member, in this case a “rising star” in the words of her nominator.

SUNY Oswego human development faculty member Rebecca Burch recently earned the campus President’s Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity for impactful research and overwhelming contributions toward the next generation of researchers.

For Mary Tone Rodgers, winning the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching culminates an impactful and successful time inside and outside Oswego’s classrooms.

Four SUNY Oswego staff members recently earned awards from statewide organizations for succeeding in a number of ways on behalf of students, the campus, professional organizations and beyond.

For overall leadership and for addressing student and campus needs in many areas, three SUNY Oswego staff members have earned the 2022 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
