The 2019 fall Student Involvement Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 28, gave students the opportunity to learn about and potentially join some of the college's more than 200 student clubs and organizations.

Mental Health and Wellness Fair on campus Sept. 4

August 27, 2019

The annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, will bring together local services, vendors, student organizations, offices and academic departments to promote health and wellness at SUNY Oswego.

The event -- which is free for all SUNY Oswego students, faculty and staff -- will take place in Marano Campus Center's Swetman Gym.

Vendors and exhibitors will offer activities, giveaways and wellness education to campus community members. 

RISE travel grants available for student presenters

The Research and Individualized Student Experiences (RISE) Office, supported by the Provost Office, provides support for student travel to make presentations at conferences, exhibits or performances. Preference will be given to students who are presenting their own work. 

Human Subjects Committee’s policies and procedures updated

Since the conclusion of the Spring 2019 semester, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and the Human Subjects Committee (HSC) have worked together on significant changes to SUNY Oswego’s policies and procedures involving human participants in research. These changes are in response to new Federal Regulations pertaining thereto.

String quartet, Grammy-winning Native American musician to present ‘The River’

The ETHEL string quartet and Robert Mirabal, a Native American musician, instrument builder and Grammy award winner, will present “The River” to open the 2019-20 SUNY Oswego Artswego performing arts series at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

The State Employees Federated Appeal popular Fall Garden Mum Sale is now open. People can purchase big, beautiful eight-inch potted mums from Oliver Paine Greenhouses to spruce up their gardens and homes. Available colors include yellow, white, lavender (purple), red (maroon) and bronze (orange). All proceeds support SEFA's 2019 on-campus fundraising campaign.
