Artswego now accepting funding applications

February 25, 2019

Proposals for Artswego support are due March 25 for activities that will take place the following academic year. Applications will be reviewed on the basis of artistic quality, educational relevance, strength of planning and commitment of other funds or resources.

Funding recommendations are the responsibility of the Arts Programming Board, a diverse committee of faculty, staff and student representatives.

Mackin Dining Center reopens today

Repairs are complete, and Mackin Dining Center will reopen for normal hours and service (including GET Food ordering) beginning today (Monday, Feb. 25).

Auxiliary Services offers thanks to maintenance and dining center staff for their response to the electrical damage and their cleanup efforts. Auxiliary Services apologizes for any inconvenience, and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.

Student honors play 'The Good Doctor' to portray absurdity, surprises in life

Combine classic tales by famed Russian writer Anton Chekhov with the wit and whimsy of Neil Simon, the author of many Broadway hits, and the result is "The Good Doctor," a series of 10 vignettes in one play, to take the stage in March as SUNY Oswego's annual student honors production.

SUNY Oswego’s third annual SUNY's Got Your Back event will bring together hundreds of people on March 5 to assemble comfort bags for victims and survivors of violence across the state of New York.

Student Association co-sponsors Feb. 27 off-campus housing fair

Students interested in speaking with local property owners (landlords) about off-campus housing are encouraged to attend an upcoming fair.

The off-campus housing fair will run noon to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, on the upper concourse area of Marano Campus Center arena (inside the glass).

The fair is sponsored by the SUNY Oswego Student Association and the Campus-City Relations Committee (CCRC).

Campus Recreation, Fitness Centers celebrate National Recreation Day

The campus community is invited to celebrate National Rec Day with Campus Recreation and Fitness Centers today, Friday, Feb. 22.

Quest submissions due by March 1

Undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff around campus, are encouraged to work with the department Quest representatives to submit proposals for posters and presentations for Quest, the annual celebration of the college's scholarly and creative work. The proposals must be submitted by the department representatives by Friday, March 1.

This year (throughout the spring and fall 2019 semesters), Assistant Professor of Communication Studies Francisco Suárez will lead the production of SUNY Oswego's very first holiday TV special -- an ambitious interdisciplinary collaboration involving students, faculty from the School of Communication, Media and the Arts, and staff from all across our campus.
