Did you know almost 4,000 children in Oswego County, New York, struggle with food insecurity on the weekends? These kids eat meals at school during the week but need access to affordable, healthy food on Saturday and Sunday. That's where Blessings in a Backpack can help!
The Blessings in a Backpack program in Oswego provides food on the weekend for 425 children in Oswego who might otherwise go hungry. Students at Kingsford Park, Minetto, Charles E Riley, Granby, Fairgrieve, Fitzhugh Park, Volney, Frederick Leighton Elementary Schools, and Oswego High School receive food each Friday to take home.
Please join us in preventing weekend hunger by making a gift. As little as $150 will help provide well-balanced, nutritional food for a child every weekend of the school year.
