An outage has been scheduled Saturday, May 4, from 12:01 to 6 a.m. to upgrade hardware and software that will enhance Internet services at our hosting provider’s data center.

Students encouraged to 'drop-in' with President Stanley on Wednesday

President Deborah F. Stanley will continue her drop-in meetings with students on Wednesday, May 1, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court.

All students are encouraged to drop in, say hello to President Stanley, ask a question or discuss a topic important to you.

2019 summer youth camps now open for registration

Registration is now open for SUNY Oswego's summer STEM/STEAM youth camps.

SUNY Oswego's 2019 STEM Summer Camp will run for two weeks, August 5 to 8 and August 12 to 15 at the main campus.

The 2019 STEAM Quest Summer Camp will be held in various schools throughout Oswego and Onondaga County starting July 8 to 11 and ending August 5 to 8.

While at camp, participating children imagine, collaborate, create and problem-solve, all while learning 21st-century skills that will help them succeed in school and beyond.

Increase in campus mail room services costs to begin Wednesday

Beginning May 1, the costs for some services provided by the campus mail room will increase. The changes reflected are:

Extra mailing charges
If a bulk mailing must have any extra functions completed by the mail room staff -- for example: labeling, inserting, sorting, etc. -- there will be an extra charge to the department sending out the mailing.

Folding and inserting:

  • $10 per 500 pieces
  • $20 per 1000 pieces

Oz Internship Showcase set for May 1

April 23, 2019

Next Wednesday, May 1, 11 SUNY Oswego undergraduate students will highlight their internship and co-op experiences while competing for awards during the Oz Internship Showcase, 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (Room 132).

Top prizes include a $200 Best Presentation Award and $100 Audience Choice Award. Members of the campus community are encouraged to sign up to attend and then cast votes after listening to presentations.

Students encouraged to 'Leave Green' for community sale

As students begin to think about moving home for the summer, SUNY Oswego’s Office of Community Services and the local People Against Poverty committee encourage students to “Leave Green.” Students moving out of residence halls are able to drop unwanted items in good condition in donation boxes at any residence hall, starting May 9, for a community sale.

College to welcome newest alumni at May 17 Torchlight

Commencement Eve Dinner and Torchlight will be held on Friday, May 17. This historic tradition is the college's chance to officially welcome seniors into the Oswego Alumni Association. Color Oswego returns May 3

An annual colorful event for fitness and fun will unfold when Color Oswego -- a run/walk where participants are splashed with powder -- takes place at 4 p.m. Friday, May 3.

A staple on Oswego’s campus for students, staff and faculty, the event on a 1.5-mile course will begin at Glimmerglass Fitness Center.

University Police participates in annual Buckle-Up campaign

University Police is in the midst of an annual campaign, deploying special patrols to look for motorists who are not wearing their seatbelts.

Buckle-Up Day and Night runs through April 29 at SUNY Oswego. This is part of the nationwide effort that traditionally takes place in May, but University Police is granted a variation to run the campaign earlier due to the college Commencement in mid-May.

The patrols are funded by a grant from the federal government through the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
