The outage scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, from 12:01 to 6 a.m. to enhance Internet services at our hosting provider’s data center has been cancelled. This outage was to affect access to Blackboard, Degreeworks and Ensemble Video. These services should now continue to operate normally.

Undergraduate students who plan to graduate as of December 2019 and who have not yet filed online to graduate should do so as soon as possible. 

Undergraduates who will complete requirements in the fall 2019 semester should file no later than Monday, April 1, 2019, for their name to be listed in the commencement program. To apply for graduation online, students must do the following:

Due to a minor electrical fire in Mackin Dining Center’s serving line area last week, the dining center will not be open Feb. 18 to 21, as Auxiliary Services completes equipment repairs. 

SUNY Oswego will conduct a simultaneous test of the college's emergency communication systems on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019.

At approximately 10:20 a.m. this coming Wednesday, the college will send messages via NY-Alert, the college website, campus phones including classroom and conference phones, teaching station computers, emergency broadcast system outdoor speakers, and digital signage. 

Continuing its yearlong campaign, the Senior Class Planning Committee recently announced that Class of 2019 senior apparel is now available.

Last year, 5,928 donors raised more than $5 million for SUNY Oswego.

Today is Love-a-Donor Day, as the college shows appreciation to these many Oswego donors. Students, faculty and staff are invited to show their love to donors by writing a note of thanks. Stop by the table in the Marano Campus Center between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and be entered into a drawing for Dining Dollars. Look for red and pink balloons.

Starting today (Feb. 13) from noon to 1 p.m. in the Newman Center, and every Wednesday throughout the spring semester, Lunchtime Christian Meditation in the Catholic, Eucharistic tradition is open to all students, faculty and staff.

Lunchtime Christian Meditation is sponsored by the Newman Center, John F. Lalande and a number of SUNY Oswego faculty, staff and students.

In addition to traditional Oswego KidsTech: STEM 4 Kids (grades K-3) or Young Inventors (grades 4-6) four-week classes in April, this semester the campus will host KidsTech STEM Warm-up Activities in February. These sessions invite children to enjoy an exciting STEM activity during their winter breaks and for new children to try out one of the iSTEM (integrative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) lessons led by the Oswego Technology Student Association and pre-service technology education teachers at SUNY Oswego. 

President Deborah F. Stanley will host a drop-in with faculty today (Thursday, Feb. 7) from 9:30 to 11 a.m., in the Chu Atrium, located in the Marano Campus Center.

President Stanley hosts drop-in hours for SUNY Oswego faculty periodically throughout the academic year. Members of the faculty are invited to stop by and meet with her during these drop-ins.
