It is a great honor and joy to be named your 11th President by the State University of New York Board of Trustees. I find myself humbled to be joining an extraordinary community of teachers, scholars, staff and learners at this storied institution, a community that has kept faith with a transformational promise made 162 years ago – to contribute to the common good by enriching the human spirit and offering to as many as could realize the opportunity to be so enriched.

CTS migrating to new ticketing system on Friday

Campus Technology Services (CTS) will be migrating from the ServiceNow ticketing system to a new system called TeamDynamix. The ticketing system helps campus technology staff manage and resolve any technical issues the campus community may have using digital services. The migration will take place this Friday, Aug. 18, starting at 4 p.m.

SUNY Oswego hosts successful Downstate Orientation Program

In addition to its traditional eight campus-based new student orientation programs this summer, SUNY Oswego traveled to Midtown Manhattan to deliver a special orientation program for Downstate New York students. More than 250 students and 125 family supporters attended the inaugural Downstate Orientation Program.

The New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) presented four awards to SUNY Oswego broadcasting students honoring top-tier work in television, radio and digital storytelling.

SEFA collecting items for local schoolkids via Stuff A Bus

August 7, 2023

The college’s State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign continues its sponsorship of the annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign, which provides school supplies to children in need in Oswego County’s nine school districts. 

Collection boxes around campus (see below) will receive drop offs. The collection is under way and will run through Aug. 18. The effort unfolds in partnership with the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
