MLK Day of Service on Feb. 4 to combat hunger

As part of continuing the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., SUNY Oswego's Office of Student Engagement and Leadership (SEL) will combat hunger during the MLK Day of Service on Saturday, Feb. 4.

For the event, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court, SEL will partner with Rise Against Hunger, the Student Association and Student Association Programming Board to host a meal packaging event.

Rise Against Hunger is a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies.

RCA Reflections to host 'You Never Fish the Same Water Twice'

Centro bus schedule updated for spring 2023

To best meet the needs of students, the Centro bus schedule has been modified for this semester.

Class schedules, student feedback and usage data were utilized to consider what changes from the fall could be made to improve student experience and access to the two bus routes on campus, the Blue Route and the Green Route. Specifically, the university reviewed daily ridership in small time increments to determine traffic patterns aligned with spring course schedules.

Call for nominations: Hubert B. Smith Diversity Scholarship

The Hubert B. Smith Diversity Scholarship will be awarded to up to four students for the next academic year, 2023-2024. Each recipient will receive a minimum of $1,000.

This award honors Hubert B. Smith, retired assistant provost and director of the Office of Learning Support (now the Office of Learning Services), for his many years of service in the promotion of human diversity and academic excellence at SUNY Oswego.

University adopts greener approach to managing pathways this winter

SUNY Oswego's Office of Facilities Services works to ensure campus roadways and walkways are clear and safe throughout the winter season. In an effort to support green campus operations, the university has adopted a liquid non-chloride de-icer around building entranceways.
