Open forum for Residence Life and Housing AVP candidate on Jan. 24

SUNY Oswego is searching for an Assistant Vice President of Residence Life and Housing, with a candidate open forum scheduled for 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, in 114 Marano Campus Center.

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in this open forum with a candidate, who has been asked to prepare a 20-minute presentation on a wide-ranging prompt, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A.  

Virtual and live events to observe National Day of Racial Healing

The National Day of Racial Healing takes place annually on the day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The observance grows year after year as people work to create connections and share a sense of belonging.

Taking place on Jan. 17 this year, the National Day of Racial Healing is a time to contemplate shared values and create the blueprint together for #HowWeHeal from the effects of racism.

Launched on Jan. 17, 2017, it is an opportunity to bring all people together in their common humanity and inspire collective action to create a more just and equitable world.

Brightspace navigation changes

January 9, 2023

On Friday, Jan. 13 at 4:30 p.m., the Digital Learning Environment (DLE) transition team will make changes to the Brightspace home and course home navigation and widgets. These changes are being made based on focus group discussions with faculty and students held in the Fall ‘22 semester.

Following a competitive national search, I am excited to announce that Lynn Braun has been selected to serve as SUNY Oswego’s Director of Counseling Services. In this leadership role within the Division of Student Affairs, Braun will serve as a champion for the student experience working to advance mental health services, resources and systems at SUNY Oswego to support student success.

Multi-factor authentication expanding to Help Desk self-service ticketing system

On Jan. 11 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Campus Technology Services (CTS) Help Desk self-service ticketing system will be configured to use multi-factor authentication (MFA). During this time frame, logins to self-service may be intermittent or unavailable.  

'New Year, New You' event to help create healthy habits

Members of the campus community with new goals to start the new year are invited to a special free virtual "New Year, New You" lunch and learn from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations sponsors this workshop to help people achieve their New Year goals, as organizers want to see colleagues grow personally and professionally. The event is intended to help people start the new year off right by learning proven methods to create healthy habits.
