University Police holding 'Click It or Ticket' seatbelt awareness campaign

University Police will remind members of the campus community of the importance of using seatbelts with a "Click It or Ticket" campaign between now and May 1.

The department regularly takes part in a spring traffic enforcement and awareness campaign, this year deciding to focus on the use of seatbelts for safety purposes. 

SEFA children’s book drive to support local Bookmobile

The SUNY Oswego State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) Committee once again will partner with the Oswego Bookmobile for the second annual children’s book drive.

The effort invites campus and community members to donate new and like-new books for children ages 3 to 18. The book drive will run from now through April 30.

Student Involvement Awards taking place tonight

The campus community is invited to attend the 2022 Student Involvement Awards, which will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. April 20 in the Marano Campus Center Auditorium (Room 132).

The Student Involvement Awards recognize and reward those students and their student organizations whose involvement has made SUNY Oswego and the surrounding community a better place to live and learn. Their hard work can be seen through educational programs, community service projects, athletic events, guest speakers and a variety of other ways.

CSTEP hosts first in-person Student Showcase on Friday

SUNY Oswego's Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) will host its first in-person annual Student Showcase from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22, in 133 Marano Campus Center.

The showcase is a conference for CSTEP students to display and present their research and projects to the campus community. It is a poster-style presentation format, allowing for casual conversations and questions.

Student, staff and faculty are all invited to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of Oswego's CSTEP students.

Transition complete: Multi-factor authentication now mandatory for non-residential students

Back in March, Campus Technology Services (CTS) announced the campus will be adding a second layer of authentication to certain campus services including Blackboard, Zoom, Office 365, Adobe, Library databases, Administrative Banner, and Spectrum U.

Student teachers should sign up for placements April 21 and 22

Education students looking to do student teaching in the Fall should connect with the Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office to be able to receive a placement -- with sign-up sessions taking place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 21 and 22, in 208 Park Hall.

OzFest returns to campus with concert, daytime activities May 6

The annual OzFest will return on Friday, May 6, with an afternoon of activities culminating in a concert featuring Ari Lennox, B-Lovee and Angelo Mota, starting at 7 p.m. in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall.
