Special Artswego funding available for spring virtual arts experiences

In response to an emphasis placed on online learning caused by COVID-19, Artswego created a new funding opportunity that encourages and supports virtual arts experiences (in physical and virtual classroom spaces) that enhance the cultural environment of the college and augment academic offerings.

Discover Wellness employee program returns

January 21, 2021

"Discover Wellness: Find A Healthier You" will offer its virtual seven-week program this spring.

It runs once a week starting Monday, Feb. 22, and is free to all SUNY Oswego employees. This program focuses on stress reduction, healthy eating, increasing physical activity and improving overall quality of sleep. Participants will receive free weekly wellness reinforcements and strategies that will assist them in making a behavior change that will aid in increasing their overall quality of life.

Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of ‘1619 Project’ to headline MLK Celebration Feb. 9

Nikole Hannah-Jones, the award-winning creator of the New York Times Magazine’s “The 1619 Project,” about the history and lasting legacy of American slavery, will headline SUNY Oswego’s 32nd annual MLK Celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Changes announced for parking lot snow maintenance

For the spring 2021 semester, several underutilized parking lots on campus will not receive regular snow-removal maintenance. The selection of lots not to be fully maintained (for snow removal) were based on the amount of anticipated parking lot use, which is expected to be lower in the upcoming spring 2021 semester.
