"Oswego Forward" Plan is approved by SUNY

We are pleased to share the exciting news that our Oswego Forward plan has been officially approved by SUNY. This carefully developed plan will guide SUNY Oswego as we restart our residential campus operations and welcome students and employees back to campus in late August. According to SUNY, our plan “meets the New York State Department of Health’s ‘Reopening New York Higher Education Guidelines’” and remains subject to change due to new information, guidance and/or direction received from the State of New York and the Governor’s Office.

Lifelong Learning program offers free summer courses online

SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations announces five free Lifelong Learning courses that will be held this summer from July 20 to July 30, open to adults at least 50 years of age. 

Summer 2020 course offerings include “Digital Photography,” “Genealogy: Exploring Your History,” “How to Use an Apple/Android Smartphone Efficiently,” “Mind and Body Wellness” and “Sustainable Gardening.”

Singer/songwriter Cam Caruso to start Oswego Alumni Virtual Concert Series

The Oswego Alumni Virtual Concert Series will start this week with the first concert featuring singer/songwriter and 2017 graduate Cam Caruso.

Caruso will perform on Facebook Live from the Oswego Alumni Facebook page from 8 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24. 

Caruso's EP "Up Above & Down Below" won a 2020 Syracuse Area Music Award (SAMMY) in the Singer/Songwriter category.

Free Oswego County COVID-19 drive-thru testing on June 24, 25

Mobile testing will come to campus in the Romney Lot (Parking Lot 7) from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 25.

This SUNY Upstate Mobile COVID-19 site is by appointment only by calling 315-464-2582 (Option 0) in advance.

Those signing up should have their insurance information available when you call, although those without insurance will not be turned away. 

The tests are available to anyone interested and are no cost to the patient.

Elevator outage in Culkin scheduled June 26

This Friday, June 26, the Culkin Hall elevators will have a planned outage from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The outage will help accommodate the completion of roof work.
