Call for nominations to serve on the SUNY Awards and Promotions Selection Committee

The process by which SUNY Oswego recommends nominees for SUNY Chancellor Awards and the promotion to Distinguished Professorships involves the actions of a selection committee.

The selection committee is responsible for soliciting campus nominations, reviewing nomination files, evaluating all nominees and ranking nominations as a recommendation for action by the President.

If elected, Faculty Assembly policy calls for the members of the committee to consider nominations for the following categories:

Coffee with a Cop and Student Conduct set Oct. 1

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon, University Police and the Office of Student Conduct will host a table in the Marano Campus Center near the bookstore in celebration of National Coffee with a Cop Day.

The campus community is invited to stop by to enjoy free coffee, treats and giveaways, and take the opportunity to engage in friendly conversation with University Police officers and Student Conduct staff.

Nwosu traveled from the United States to Africa from July 11 to 23, helping lead a high-level delegation to his homeland of Nigeria, as well as Kenya and Rwanda, as part of the SUNY Africa Initiative — a system-wide effort to deepen strategic educational, economic and cultural partnerships across the continent.

Totally Teal walk, remembrance set Sept. 30
