Rudolf Haken to perform eclectic, electric strings mix from classical to metal

Laps with Lakers event seeks volunteers

SUNY Oswego's 9th annual Laps with Lakers seeks volunteers for the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 on the academic quad.

All students, employees, community members and alumni are invited to participate in the Laps with Lakers, walking to remember and to prevent sexual and interpersonal violence. Participants will be asked to walk, run and/or roll at least one lap on the quad in support of this cause.

Advisement Center holds ongoing services to help with fall registration

The Advisement Center's drop-in and after-hours will be available for any student who needs assistance with Fall 2024 registration.

Drop-in hours are Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Advisement Center, room 151 Marano Campus Center. No appointment is necessary.

Student Leadership Ceremony set for April 4

The spring Student Leadership Ceremony again will recognize outstanding student involvement at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom.

The event is presented by the Department of Student Engagement and Leadership and the Office of the Provost. The Student Leadership Ceremony recognizes and awards students and student organizations whose involvement has made SUNY Oswego and the surrounding community a better place to live and learn.

Human resource management curriculum earns key recognition

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the premier worldwide Human Resources professional organization, has recognized that SUNY Oswego's School of Business human resource management curriculum aligns with the competencies and subject knowledge required for graduates to succeed in the field.

SHRM defines human resource education standards taught in university business schools. SUNY Oswego completed a comprehensive review process that demonstrated that courses align with 29 critical HR competencies and subject matter areas.

EAP to host last salad bowl luncheon of semester

SUNY Oswego's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host its final salad bowl luncheon of the spring semester from noon to 1 p.m. on April 9 in 114 Marano Campus Center.

Organizers noted the event represents a healthy break from having lunch at one's desks, and to meet with others in a friendly environment.

In addition to the healthy meal, the salad bowl luncheon lets colleagues enjoy some social connection. Use this link to register.
