We have been advised by the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations that another day will not be designated to be observed as a holiday by State employees in lieu of July 4, 2020.
Full-time employees who are entitled to observe holidays, and are not scheduled to work on Saturday, July 4, will be credited with holiday compensatory time after July 4, 2020.
Employees who are regularly scheduled to work on Saturdays will observe Saturday July 4 as a holiday unless they are required to work. If an employee is required to work on Saturday, July 4, 2020, he or she will either receive paid holiday pay or granted holiday compensatory time off (holiday leave), as appropriate.
