University Police to begin using parking boots

Effective Oct. 1, 2019, SUNY Oswego University Police will begin using parking boots to discourage certain violations, and ensure parking fees are collected in a timely manner.

The parking boots may be applied to vehicles parked in spaces marked Reserved and/or Handicapped, or to vehicles where the driver has acquired 10 or more violations in a given registered year.

Upcoming deadlines, programs from Campus Recreation

The Campus Recreation registration deadline for the broomball, floor hockey and basketball leagues is Wednesday, Oct. 2. You can sign up with a team or sign up as a free agent at IMLeagues.com/oswego

Also, Campus Recreation is offering student swim lessons for SUNY Oswego students for free. Anyone of any swimming ability is welcome to come. Registration runs now through Nov. 8.

'Writing Scholarship Essays' explored Friday

Retirement gathering Wednesday for Steve Salisbury

Wear green and gold, and show your Laker pride on Friday

The Oswego family is invited to show school spirit for Green and Gold Day on Friday.

Participants can wear their favorite Laker gear and show up for the annual Oswego family portrait at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, on the South Lawn of the Marano Campus Center, near the food and activity court. (Rain location will be inside the Marano Campus Center arena.) Those attending the photo in their green and gold will be entered into a drawing for two $25 Amazon gift cards, with winners will be announced at the photo.

LaunchIt student startup competition starts Sept. 26 with pitches
