SEFA fundraiser offers chance to win Father's Day-themed baskets

The SUNY Oswego SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) campaign is holding its second annual Father’s Day Raffle. This year's raffle support David's Refuge, a SEFA-approved agency in Central New York that provides community respite and resources to parents of children with special needs or life threatening illness.

Retirement celebration set for Anne Benjamin

A retirement celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom will honor Anne Benjamin as she retires from the Financial Aid Office.

"Anne has worn many hats in the Financial Aid Office, but her most recent position allowed her to work across campus with department supervisors as the Federal Work Study coordinator," said Jennie Hoffman-Smith, senior associate director of financial aid. "We will miss Anne dearly but are very excited for her next adventure!"

Print portal now available for faculty and staff needs

SUNY Oswego's Office of Communications and Marketing, in partnership with Dupli Envelope & Graphics, is excited to announce the launch of its new print portal to the campus. The portal provides convenient access for faculty and staff, making it easier to order business cards, name badges and stationery.

Campus Recreation sets summer facility hours

Campus Recreation facilities will open this summer, beginning on Tuesday, May 30.

Summer dates, effective through Aug. 18:

Cooper Fitness Center hours:
Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*Glimmerglass is closed for summer

Lee Hall Gym hours:
Mondays through Thursdays: noon to 8 p.m.
Fridays: noon to 4 p.m.
Closed on weekends

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI) throughout May is a time to celebrate and recognize the contributions and achievements of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans to the nation's history, culture and society. 

The Asian Pacific American community is made up of more than 50 distinct ethnic groups, including Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, Samoan, Cambodian, Uzbekistan and many others. Each group has its own unique history, traditions, and contributions to the United States.

Student entrepreneurs’ assistive gaming technology places second in state business competition

SUNY Oswego students Paul Wehr and Harshit Gupta recently won second prize at the New York State Business Competition with their startup GameOn, which creates modifications for gaming controllers to make them more accessible for those with motor function disabilities.
