Family-friendly event to feature student film on history of Fort Ontario

The CSS 385: "Children's Literature and Film" class will screen their 16mm short film "The History of Fort Ontario" at the Oswego Public Library from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 12. A shadow puppet activity will follow the screening.

This project was created in partnership with Fort Ontario in SUNY Oswego's Media Archeology Lab, and funded by the Shineman Endowed Fund.

Sheldon Institute seeks teachers this summer

The popular Sheldon Institute summer youth camp invites applications and course proposals for the 2023 program on the SUNY Oswego campus.

Individuals can teach for one and/or two of the weeks of the program, Monday through Friday: July 24 to July 28 and/or July 31 to Aug. 4. Instructors are asked to submit a curriculum proposal for each week of the camp they are interested in teaching. Multiple course proposals may be submitted.

Priority will be given to lessons that are adaptable for both younger and older student audiences.

Oswego student earns statewide EOP honor

Damien Nguyen, a senior double majoring in human development and criminal justice, recently earned the statewide Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for outstanding student excellence. This award recognizes Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students who overcome obstacles to go above and beyond in their academic endeavors.

Latest Brightspace updates

As of this morning, May 8, SUNY Online made some improvements to the Brightspace digital learning environment. These changes were discussed and approved by the SUNY Campus Implementation Planning Work Group, which is made up of over 100 members of SUNY from across a wide variety of campuses.
